Won — Nyendra, "Lhayi Semo"
National selection
Rhythm of Bhutan — August 11, 2026, on BBS.
Decided. Nyendra won Rhythm of Bhutan on 11 August 2026 with "Lhayi Semo" (The Angel), becoming the first artist ever selected for Eurovision Asia. The result followed a 40% professional jury / 40% domestic public / 20% Rest of the World split across five finalists.
Music scene
Bhutan's contemporary pop and folk-pop scene is small and little documented internationally. Nyendra's own sound — pop, folk-pop, acoustic and R&B, self-written and produced in both English and Dzongkha — is one of the most visible showcases of it to reach an international stage.
Worth knowing
- First country to select for Eurovision Asia
- The 2026 final drew on the same five acts from Druk Dra, a 2025 selection the EBU had shut down before it aired
