Confirmed. Aina Abdul was announced as Malaysia's representative on 15 August 2026, chosen by internal selection rather than a competitive final. Her competition song hasn't been revealed yet. TV3 is airing Malaysia Memburu Impian, a first-person docuseries following her road to Bangkok, inside Thursday show Melodi.
Music scene
Malaysia's pop industry is one of the more established in the contest. Aina Abdul is one of the country's biggest contemporary names, with three studio albums and multiple AJL wins since 2020, and previous pan-Asian stage experience at the 2023 ABU Song Festival.
