In our contest stories

What we wrote about Peter, Sue and Marc, year by year. Follow a link for the rest of that night.

  • 1979 Familiar faces

Anne-Marie David, who had won for Luxembourg in 1973, came back to sing for France. The Swiss trio Peter, Sue and Marc appeared for the third time, with reinforcements, and so, under a new stage name, did the Dutch singer Sandra Reemer.

  • 1981 Old hands

The Swiss trio Peter, Sue and Marc appeared for the fourth time and set a record nobody has matched. They had sung in French in 1971, in English in 1976 and in German in 1979. In Dublin they sang in Italian, and finished fourth.
