Cambodia's Finest Voice 2026: The Seven Acts, Date, Venue and How to Watch

Cambodia’s Finest Voice takes place on Saturday 17 October 2026 at 18:00 ICT (13:00 CEST), at the AEON Mall Sen Sok Event Hall in Phnom Penh. It is the last national selection on the Eurovision Asia calendar — whoever wins completes the eleven-country line-up.

Broadcaster TV5 revealed the competing acts on 5 October. There are seven.

The seven acts

In alphabetical order:

• Monetrey
• Nov Dana
• Sam Rocker
• Satiya

It is a small field. Only Bhutan’s final, with five acts, had fewer; every other open final this season has had between eight and eleven.

What hasn’t been published yet: the songs, the running order, the hosts and the jury. TV5’s announcement said further details would follow. We are not going to guess at genres or backgrounds from stage names; this section will be filled in as the broadcaster releases the information.

The voting

Eurovoix reports the winner will be decided by 50% jury and 50% televote.

Treat that with a little care. Bangladesh, Vietnam and Nepal were all described before their shows as 50/50, and all three turned out to use a 40% jury / 40% domestic public / 20% Rest of the World split. A “50/50 jury and public” summary is not wrong so much as incomplete: it can describe a system where the public half is itself divided between domestic and international voters.

The record label rule

Cambodia’s selection has a quirk no other country shares: applications were open to record labels as well as individual artists. Every other broadcaster in the contest ran either an open call for artists or an internal selection.

Why it matters:

It favours finished product. A label submitting an entry brings a produced track, a marketing plan and an artist already under contract. An individual singer entering an open call typically does not.

It changes who competes. Cambodia’s music industry is label-driven in a way that makes this practical rather than exclusionary — it is arguably the format best matched to how the local scene actually works.

TV5 hasn’t said which of the seven acts came through a label and which entered independently. Whether a label act or an independent wins is the most interesting thing this final can tell us.

The shortest runway of anyone

A 17 October final leaves exactly four weeks before the Grand Final on 14 November. Every other country will have had longer — Bhutan’s song has been public since 11 August.

That is a real handicap in a contest where half the result is a public vote and viewers elsewhere in the region will be hearing Cambodia’s song for the first time in the final month. It is the main reason Cambodia sits last, on 4%, in our Eurovision Asia odds — a judgement about time, not about seven acts nobody has heard yet.

The Phoenix Communications footnote

The production company behind this selection has an unexpected place in Eurovision Asia’s history.

In June, a claim circulated that the Eurovision Asia winner would compete at Eurovision 2027 rather than simply perform there. That claim was reportedly traced back to Phoenix Communications, spread widely, was retracted within days, and was ultimately corrected by Voxovation. Cambodia’s forgotten Eurovision history

This is not Cambodia’s first attempt at a Eurovision-format contest.

In December 2009, Cambodia launched a national selection show for Our Sound — The Asia Pacific Song Contest, the earlier Asian Eurovision project. That contest collapsed in 2011 after repeated delays, and Cambodia’s selection came to nothing.
