Cambodia's selection is broadcast on TV5 Cambodia, but organised by advertising agency GIGIL Phnom Penh, with production handled by Phoenix Communications. GIGIL ran an open public call for the selection, including publishing contact phone numbers directly — an unusually informal route into a national final.
Cambodia's Finest Voice takes place on Saturday 17 October at 18:00 ICT (13:00 CEST) at the AEON Mall Sen Sok Event Hall in Phnom Penh — the last national final on the calendar. The winner is decided by 50% jury and 50% televote.
TV5 revealed the seven competing acts on 5 October: GOOFY, KESORRR, MC PICH, Monetrey, Nov Dana, Sam Rocker and Satiya. Uniquely in this contest, both individual artists and record labels could submit an entry — no other country's selection works that way.
