Bhutan — Nyendra, “Lhayi Semo” (The Angel)
Selected: 11 August 2026, Rhythm of Bhutan
A 24-year-old singer-songwriter and producer based in Thimphu, working across pop, folk-pop, acoustic and R&B, who writes and produces independently in both English and Dzongkha. The first artist ever selected for Eurovision Asia, and the only one whose song is already public.

Malaysia — Aina Abdul, song TBA
Selected: 15 August 2026, internal selection revealed at Anugerah Juara Lagu 40
One of the biggest names in Malaysian music with three studio albums and multiple AJL wins since 2020. Chosen by a professional jury rather than a competitive final. Previously performed at the ABU Song Festival in 2023. Her competition song has not been revealed.

When the field will be complete
All selections are expected to conclude by mid-October, leaving about four weeks before the Grand Final in Bangkok on 14 November. Vietnam is the outstanding unknown — see why it’s still silent.
