- 1962
Luxembourg hosted for the first time in 1962, in the Grand Auditorium of the Villa Louvigny, its broadcaster's headquarters in the city's municipal park. It is the contest where the power failed twice and where four countries went home with nothing — the first time anyone had.
- 1967 Seventeen
Three singers had been here before: Italy's Claudio Villa, Norway's Kirsti Sparboe and Spain's Raphael, who had sung in Luxembourg the year before.
- 1967 A disqualified song
Claudio Villa had won Sanremo with "Non pensare a me" and was meant to sing it in Vienna. It had been released before the EBU's deadline and was thrown out. He sang a different song, "Non andare più lontano", and finished eleventh.
