- 2019 The result
The Netherlands won, for the first time in 44 years. Duncan Laurence's "Arcade" finished on 498 points, 26 ahead of Italy's Mahmood.
- 2019 The result
Nobody could say it was the runaway favourite of either electorate. The juries put North Macedonia first and Sweden second. The public put Norway first. "Arcade" was third with one and second with the other, and that was enough.
- 2020 What was planned
The final was to have included eight former winners performing their songs, from Gigliola Cinquetti, who won in 1964, to Duncan Laurence.
- 2021 The virus arrives anyway
The reigning champion missed his own homecoming. Duncan Laurence tested positive two days before the final and appeared only on tape.
