Eurovision Asia 2026 Venue: The Move to One Bangkok Forum
Eurovision Asia 2026 moves from IdeaLive to One Bangkok Forum — 6,000 seats on Wireless Road. What the 21 September announcement changed, and what it means.
The first Eurovision Song Contest Asia will be staged at One Bangkok Forum, organisers confirmed on 21 September. It replaces IdeaLive, the venue that had been attached to the contest in reporting for most of the year — including on this site.
What changed
The headline difference is size. One Bangkok Forum holds up to 6,000 depending on layout, against roughly 4,000 associated with IdeaLive. For a contest selling tickets to two separate shows, that is a meaningful amount of extra room.
It also quietly settles an argument. For months there were two competing capacity figures circulating for IdeaLive — around 4,000 seated in some reporting, 7,000 in various listings — with no authoritative number from the EBU, Voxovation or Channel 3. That dispute is now moot rather than resolved: the figures described a building that isn’t hosting the contest.
Where it is
One Bangkok Forum sits at 197 Wireless Road, Pathum Wan, facing Lumphini Park, inside the wider One Bangkok development. The venue opened in 2024, making Eurovision Asia one of the more significant international events it has taken on.
We are deliberately not publishing transit directions yet. We could not verify specific station access to a standard we are comfortable with, and a wrong platform recommendation is worse than none at the point where people are booking travel. We will add it once confirmed.
Being honest about our own reporting
This site named IdeaLive at BRAVO BKK as the venue, as fact, across multiple pages. That was wrong, and we have corrected it in place rather than quietly deleting it.
The wrinkle is that outlets disagree on whether IdeaLive was ever officially confirmed, or whether it was early reporting that hardened into received fact through repetition. We are not in a position to settle that. What we can say plainly is that we stated it with more confidence than the sourcing justified, and the venue organisers have now announced is One Bangkok Forum.
For a first-edition contest with no institutional memory to check against, this is the second time a widely repeated “fact” has dissolved — the first being the 18-country, Mumbai-hosted version that circulated in 2025. Our fact-check page tracks both.
What it means for tickets
Tickets went on sale in two waves through the official Eurovision Asia website — a presale for registered Eurofans on Thursday 1 October, and general sale on Friday 2 October.
Two shows are ticketed at One Bangkok Forum: the Preview Show on Friday 13 November, a full run-through, from US$35, and the Grand Final on Saturday 14 November, from US$50. Every category and price is in our tickets and venue guide.
Even at 6,000, this is a small room by European Eurovision standards, and a meaningful share of seats will go to delegations, press, sponsors and production before the public sees any. Two ticketed shows helps; it doesn’t make this a large-capacity event.
