ENA, backed by SK Telecom and the KT Group, is organising South Korea's participation, with the selection itself produced by PK Inc.
JUNHEE wins with "Deep Dive"
Korea's Next Wave aired 4 September, hosted by Jo Kwon, with a jury that included singer Chae Ri-na. The result was decided by a three-way split: 40% professional jury, 40% South Korean public, 20% Rest of the World, across a field of eight songs — two groups, a duo and five soloists.
JUNHEE won with "Deep Dive," ahead of Sojeong Shim in second with "Eheradiya" and Angel Noise in third with "(NAN NAYA!)." JUNHEE — Park Junhee, 32 — was a member of boy band A.C.E. from 2017 to 2025 and has been solo since. Full field, jury and result breakdown are in our Korea's Next Wave results.
A late addition to the field
South Korea wasn't in the leaked nine-country list that briefly appeared on 29 March — it was added only with the formal announcement two days later, making it the tightest confirmation margin of any country in the contest. We covered what that leak revealed in our piece on the March website leak.
