JUNHEE Wins Korea's Next Wave With "Deep Dive" — Full Results

JUNHEE won Korea’s Next Wave with “Deep Dive,” and will represent South Korea at Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026 in Bangkok.

The result was decided by a three-way vote — 40% professional jury, 40% South Korean public, 20% Rest of the World — across a field of eight songs, airing 4 September on broadcaster ENA.

Who is JUNHEE?

JUNHEE — Park Junhee, 32 — was a member of boy band A.C.E. from 2017 to 2025, and has been solo since. His prior singles include “La La La Lune,” “Supernova” and “Umbrella.” “Deep Dive” is the entry that will carry South Korea’s colours in Bangkok on 14 November.

Host and jury

Korea’s Next Wave was hosted by Jo Kwon. The jury included singer Chae Ri-na alongside the rest of the panel deciding the 40% jury share of the result.

Also competing: KIK with “F1,” PLZY with “Toc,” Younghoon Ji with “Tiny Signal,” 9278 with “MAKEITLOUD (SHEBARKS),” and huiAe with “If I Knew Love.”

As covered ahead of the show, this was not the parade of major-label idol groups some fans expected — a compressed timeline (applications closed 30 June, filming in late July) made established acts unlikely for a first edition. That held: JUNHEE’s win came from outside the major-label idol system entirely.

Why this result matters

Of the eleven countries in Bangkok, South Korea arrives with by far the deepest production infrastructure and the largest existing international fanbase — and JUNHEE now carries that into the contest as a serious contender.
